Chubb names Brent MacLean as Division President of ESIS

Chubb, a major U.S. insurance company, announced the appointment of Brent MacLean as division president of ESIS Inc., a third-party administrator and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chubb.

ESIS provides a full range of claims and risk management services to a variety of commercial clients. Services include workers’ compensation, general liability, auto liability, products liability, professional liability and comprehensive absence management.

MacLean succeeds Jim Shevlin, who is retiring after 24 years of leadership and service at Chubb.

In his new role, MacLean will be responsible for ESIS’s P&L performance and drive the unit’s product development, customer service, relationship management and sales strategy.

He will report directly to Chubb Group senior vice president and president of North America Key Accounts Matt Merna.

McLean has more than two decades of experience and has held multiple leadership positions focused exclusively on workers’ compensation.

Prior to joining Chubb, he served as CEO of CompIQ Solutions. Prior to that, he worked at Conduent, most recently as president and global head of commercial healthcare.

Merna commented: “Brent’s extensive experience in the insurance industry will help drive the growth of ESIS.

“I am confident that his vision and strategic direction will enable us to continue to deliver exceptional service and results while ensuring we have the right strategies and tools in place to support our clients in reducing their total cost of risk.”

Merna added, “On behalf of Chubb and ESIS, I would like to thank Jim for his dedication and contributions over the past two decades. His leadership has had a lasting impact on our organization, both while serving as Chubb’s regional executive for the Southeast region and more recently as president of ESIS. We wish him the best in his retirement.”
