Global reinsurer Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Iris Cheung as Head Life & Health Reinsurance, Hong Kong & Taiwan, effective 1 November 2026.
Cheung brings over two decades of experience across advisory, finance, strategy, operations, and client management to her new position.
Having joined Swiss Re in 2011, the executive has spent 15 years at the company, most recently leading some of the reinsurer’s most strategic client relationships across APAC as a Key Account Manager within the Global team.
Prior to Swiss Re, Cheung spent five years at KPMG, a global organisation of independent professional services firms providing audit, tax and advisory services.
Commenting on her appointment, Tamas Brown, Head of L&H APAC, said, “With her strong commercial mindset, deep client knowledge and understanding of the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, Iris is well placed to lead the business into its next chapter, strengthening performance, deepening client partnerships and delivering sustainable growth.”
