Specialist insurance company Brit Group Holdings Limited has launched ‘BRIDGE’, a new freight alliance offering up to $80 million in shipping capacity.
According to Brit, the consortium will become one of the largest in the freight market. The insurer explained that BRIDGE will meet the needs of a range of brokers and clients, providing comprehensive coverage and protection for cargo risks around the world.
Jon Sullivan, Chief Underwriting Officer at Brit, commented: “BRIDGE is the latest syndicate launched by Brit and is another example of our core category leadership.
“By bringing together significant capacity, BRIDGE will further deepen the relevance of our market-leading freight products to brokers and their customers.”
Louise Crockford, collective underwriter at UK Freight, added: “This alliance is an exciting development for us as we continue to enhance our freight services.
“As the value of insurance in the freight market continues to grow and supply chains become increasingly complex, BRIDGE will enable us to continue to offer our customers a high level of sophisticated and comprehensive insurance, ensuring they have the support they need in changing market conditions.”
This new freight alliance follows the launch of C360, Brit’s new product designed for small businesses facing a complex and ever-changing cyber risk landscape.
