American International Group, Inc., a global insurance and financial services organization that provides property and casualty insurance, life and retirement solutions, and a broad range of commercial and personal insurance products, has appointed Brannigan Ong as head of reinsurance, casualty and health.
In this role, Ong will oversee the casualty and health reinsurance portfolio, contributing to the company’s underwriting and reinsurance strategy in the region.
Ong joins AIG after three years at Everest Group. During this time, he served as Senior Accident and Health Underwriter in Asia and previously as Accident and Health Underwriter, where he was involved in regional underwriting activities and client services across the Accident and Health product portfolio.
Prior to joining Everest, Ong worked at PWS Global Risks, a Singapore-based reinsurance brokerage, supporting casualty, financial lines and accident and health placements. His earlier experience also includes working for insurance and reinsurance broker RKH Specialty, where he was responsible for casualty, finance and accident and health.
His career has focused on underwriting and brokerage in the Asian casualty and health and specialty insurance markets, with extensive experience in client advisory, risk allocation and portfolio development.
