Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), the commercial insurance arm of Berkshire Hathaway, has announced the promotion of Katharina Rütz to Head of Executive & Professional Lines in Germany.
Rütz will continue to be based in Cologne and work with Dr. Carsten Keune, Head of Executive & Professional Lines, DACH at BHSI.
She joined BHSI in 2021 and brings more than 13 years of experience in the German insurance market.
Previously, Rütz served as Head of Commercial Lines E&P in Germany and Senior Underwriter, Directors & Officers, in Germany at BHSI.
Prior to joining BHSI, she served as Senior Underwriter D&O at Liberty Specialty Markets and also held roles at CNA Hardy and Gothaer.
