Arch Insurance, a subsidiary of Bermuda-based reinsurer/insurer Arch Capital Group, has promoted Jose Carlos Jiménez Fernández to Head of European Networks for Arch Insurance (EU) dac (AIEU) and Rafael Ortiz Losada to Head of Iberian Networks, effective immediately.
Sergio Pierro remains as Head of Networks France, responsible for executing the strategic development of the Nordic Networks portfolio and will work closely with Jiménez Fernández.
Archie explains that both Jimenez Fernandez and Ortiz Losada are very accomplished practitioners.
In his new role, based in Madrid, Jiménez Fernández will expand AlEU’s network portfolio. He leads AIEU Network Solutions’ underwriting strategy, product development and distribution in continental Europe.
Ortiz Losada is also based in Madrid and in his new role he will expand Arch’s network portfolio in Spain and Portugal. The portfolio includes primary and excess coverage across a broad spectrum of cyber, technology E&O and media E&O.
Jiménez Fernández joined Arch in 2023, most recently as Network Director at Iberia and previously as Network Manager for Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Latin America at Tokio Marine HCC.
Ortiz Losada also joined Arch in 2023 as a senior network underwriter, having previously served as a senior network underwriter at AIG.
