Antares Global, an international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, has promoted Amelia Hinds to Class Underwriter, Specie, a London-based role.
Hinds brings over 13 years of industry experience to her new position, primarily focused on Fine Art and Specie underwriting. Before joining Antares in 2021, she built her career through roles at Chubb and Canopius.
Her appointment highlights Antares’ commitment to developing talent and providing underwriters with the opportunity to progress within the business.
Hinds’ appointment follows the promotion of Mat Storr to Head of Reinsurance in August. She will be reporting directly to James Glynn, Head of Marine, who will continue to support the Specie portfolio.
Glynn commented: “I am delighted to confirm Amelia’s promotion to Class Underwriter. Amelia has been integral to the development and strengthening of the Antares Specie team since she joined us in 2021, and her promotion reflects the increased leadership responsibilities she has taken on for the team this year. She has played a crucial role in driving growth across the portfolio, as well as enhancing our standing and reputation in the market.
“Amelia embodies the consistent and considered underwriting philosophy and high service standards for which Antares has always been known. This is a well-deserved promotion, and I look forward to continuing to work with Amelia and the Specie team.”
