Independent insurance broker Lockton has announced the appointment of Andrew Wansey as head of growth and client strategy.
Wansey has more than 30 years of experience in insurance and risk consulting, with deep expertise in property, construction and casualty placements, transactional risks and alternative risk transfer solutions including captive and integrated risk plans.
The executive joins Lockton from Bellrock, an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, where he held senior advisory placement and market strategy roles.
Prior to this, Wansey spent two years at Steadfast Group Limited and nearly three years at Gallagher.
His professional background also includes roles at Lumley General Insurance, Sedgwick Group, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Australia and GSA Insurance Brokers, in addition to 15 years with Marsh.
Commenting on Wansey’s recent appointment at Lockton, a company spokesman said: “Andrew is a trusted advisor to corporate, private equity and infrastructure investors with a proven track record of integrating risk and insurance strategies with wider commercial objectives, delivering cost-effective results for clients with complex, high-risk risk profiles.
“We are delighted to have him on board as we continue to invest in our people and strengthen our consulting capabilities across property, construction and casualty.”
