Amiga obtains Lloyd’s capacity to support FI offering

Amiga Specialty has secured support from Lloyd’s for its Financial Institutions (FI) products, strengthening its ability to deliver specialist, underwriting-driven solutions to a wide range of financial and professional organizations across the UK, Europe and international markets.

Amiga explained that its financial proposition provides asset managers, investment firms, funds, banks and fintech companies with tailor-made products based on responsiveness, commercial underwriting and consistent execution.

At the same time, brokers reportedly benefited from swift decision-making, clear communication and a partner-driven approach focused on sustainable growth.

Amiga said the additional capacity at Lloyds will expand its global reach and risk appetite, providing greater flexibility to clients while enabling financial institutions teams to build diversified cross-border investment portfolios supported by Lloyds global licenses.

The FI team is led by Managing Director Jamie Ricketts, who has expertise and a proven track record of developing portfolios in the London market.

Ricketts commented: “Securing Lloyd’s underwriting capacity is an important milestone for our Financial Institutions business. It enhances our ability to underwrite a broad range of financial risks while achieving true geographical diversity. This facility combines the strength of Lloyd’s with the agility and expertise of the Amiga underwriting model.”

Adam Kembrooke, group managing director and founder of Amiga Specialty, said: “Our Lloyd’s-backed financial institution facilities expand Amiga’s international reach and enhance our specialist capabilities in key markets.

“It reflects our strategy built around experienced leaders who deliver underwriting excellence, sustainable growth and meaningful capabilities to brokers and clients.”
