XS Global, the independently owned managed general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Daniel Abramson as head of Asia Pacific construction underwriting based in Hong Kong.
Abramson has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, including construction and energy underwriting.
Prior to joining XS Global, he served as Head of Construction at Aviva. Throughout his career, he has led and developed large-scale investment portfolios, including managing more than $300 million of AIG’s global construction business, holding roles in New York, Shanghai, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok.
He has also held senior leadership roles in multiple regions, including as AIG’s regional energy manager for the Middle East, Mediterranean and South Asia, where he oversaw operations in 28 countries.
In addition, Abramson served as head of construction in Zurich, where he played a key role in building the company’s Asia Pacific and Middle East construction operations.
In December 2025, XS Global expanded into the Asia-Pacific region and established XS Global Asia Pacific Ltd (XSGAP) in Hong Kong, led by Steven Barnett, CEO of APAC and member of the XS Global Executive Committee.
