Insurance brokerage The Clear Group has announced that founder Howard Lickens, who co-founded the company with Gary O’Donnell, will retire at the end of this year.
Lickens has been instrumental in shaping Clear since its inception in 2001. This significant involvement has laid a solid foundation for the Group’s significant growth over the past two decades.
Group CEO Mike Edgeley said: “Howard’s contribution to Clear cannot be overstated. From the outset, his passion and dedication helped transform Clear from a start-up to a market leader. On behalf of everyone at Clear, I would like to thank Howard for his extraordinary dedication and wish him all the best for the future.”
Likens’ departure marks the end of an important chapter for the group. His vision and leadership have been critical to Clear’s growth and its current success as a thriving organization.
Although he will no longer serve in his previous role, the executive is expected to occasionally provide support to Clear at specific events.
“It’s been an incredible journey since 2001,” said Lickens. “It’s been a privilege to watch Clear’s growth and success, and I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished together. While I will miss being involved on a day-to-day basis, I look forward to seeing Clear continue to thrive in the years to come.”
