Shead takes over as Head of Property for Chubb’s Overseas General Insurance

Property and casualty insurer Chubb Limited has promoted Aaron Shead to executive vice president (EVP) and head of overseas general (COG) property, effective immediately, for the company’s international general lines business.

Since 2018, he has served as COG’s senior vice president and fire chief. In his new role, Shead will oversee the growth and profitability of Chubb’s fire, terrorism, power and energy portfolios while serving as practice leader for major real estate accounts.

Shead brings more than 25 years of insurance industry experience to Chubb, holding leadership roles in the UK, Asia and Bermuda.

His previous roles at Chubb include more than 25 years as vice president of energy and property underwriting, with responsibility for property, energy and technology risks, including the oil and gas (onshore and upstream), power generation, mining and construction categories.

Shead also served as regional vice president of energy and technology risks at Chubb in Singapore for six years. He began his career in 1990 as an account manager with CGU Insurance.
