Global reinsurer SCOR has promoted Sofia Kyriakopoulou to group chief technology, data and artificial intelligence (AI) officer, effective March 1, 2026.
In her new role, she will develop a comprehensive technology, data and artificial intelligence strategy based on the company’s next strategic plan, building on existing strategy, foundation and organization.
Kyriakopoulou joined SCOR in 2024 as chief data and analytics officer and has since shaped and delivered a key component of the company’s data and AI ambitions. The Paris-based reinsurer said her deep expertise and strategic vision make her well-positioned to drive its next chapter.
She has expertise in technology, data and analytics, having previously worked at reinsurer Swiss Re for more than six years as head of data and analytics for its reinsurance, group digital and technology divisions.
Kyriakopoulou’s previous roles at Swiss Re also include serving as Head of Information Technology, Head of Data and Intelligence Analytics, and Director of Asset Management, Swiss Re Institute/Group Underwriting.
Prior to that, she also served as Director of Digital at Vontobel Asset Management, where she led analytics initiatives to transform the company into an insights-driven organization, as an IPS Capital Markets Structural Engineer and Associate Director at UBS, and as a Project Manager, AVP, FX/OTC Business at Credit Suisse for over three years.
