Sandra Bullock has said she believes she once witnessed extraterrestrial activity after seeing what appeared to be several UFOs in the sky.
“There are alien ships flying around the sky,” the Oscar winner said during an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast.
She added: “I have seen them, and I’m so happy that the government has finally corroborated my story so I no longer feel like an insane person.”
The host then asked the Practical Magic 2 star how many times she’s seen aliens, to which she responded: “Just once. Just one time.”
Sandra explained the alleged sighting took place after a day of filming a movie in St. Martin, claiming the encounter occurred after she and a group from the movie set headed to the beach in the evening after production concluded.
While she didn’t specify the name of the production, it’s worth noting that parts of her 1997 film Speed 2: Cruise Control were filmed on the Caribbean island.
Noting that she and the group had a “couple of beers” before the supposed sighting, she continued: “We were all lying on the sand, and so we [were] all looking up at the sky, and I [saw] this little point of light.”
Sandra said she initially assumed it was a satellite, recalling: “It’s moving across the sky, and I’m watching it. And then there’s another little light that comes from a different direction to meet that light sort of there.”
The Miss Congeniality actor added that, at that point, she thought what she was witnessing could have been two satellites, or a plane passing.

“But no, they stayed,” she recalled. “And then there was another light, and another light — there was five altogether. And they all sort of came together.”
Sandra shared that she racked her brain trying to figure out what she was witnessing, considering she had a “little bit of a buzz going” at the time.
“Then all of a sudden, they just took off like that,” she said, quickly motioning her hand to show how fast the vessels fled.
After looking around to see if anyone had seen what she saw, Sandra added: “I think one of the other people had seen it as well.”
Sandra told the host she had been quiet about the incident, until the government recently released a trove of government files detailing supposed UFO sightings.
Alleging that the “exact formation was also seen by legitimate pilots” in the files, she added that she now feels “vindicated”.
The declassified documents released by the Pentagon’s published UFO collection don’t appear to list the alleged sighting Sandra mentioned. The Pentagon has also repeatedly stated the released UFO and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena files do not definitively confirm extraterrestrial life or alien technology.
In response to Sandra, Kylie said she does “firmly believe” there is “life elsewhere,” adding: “We can’t be the only ones.”
