Rokstone expands Singapore marine team with Jackie Lan

International specialist reinsurance/managing general agent (MGA) Rokstone has announced the appointment of Jackie Lan as underwriter to its Singapore marine team.

Rokstone established Singapore Maritime MGA in June 2025 by signing a multi-year capacity agreement with Lloyd’s worth US$25 million. The team focuses on four maritime businesses: construction, cargo, hull and liability, with the goal of achieving a GWP of US$50 million within five years.

The establishment of the Singapore center is part of Rokstone’s regional growth strategy, with Rama Chandran, Managing Director and Head of Maritime Asia Pacific, overseeing the development of its Asia Pacific business.

Lan has 15 years of experience in the marine industry, with over ten years specializing in marine hull and liability insurance. Based in Singapore, she has worked across regional and international markets, combining strong local insights with a global perspective.

She will join Rokstone at the end of her notice period at QBE Asia, where she currently serves as senior hull underwriter.

Lan is also actively involved in industry initiatives, contributing insurance expertise to sustainability-focused maritime projects and cross-industry collaborations to address emerging risks such as digitalization and cyber risks.

This is the latest key underwriting recruitment for Rokstone’s Singapore marine team, following the appointments of Sharon Seah and Hui Ling Long in October 2025.

Chandran commented: “Jackie is an excellent addition to our team as we rapidly expand our marine solutions portfolio. Our experienced team combines rigorous underwriting discipline and deep understanding of customer needs, coupled with the enhanced capabilities of our ATOMX technology and data ecosystem, to drive profitable growth and portfolio optimization. Jackie’s appointment underscores the strength of this important regional hub at a time when the marine industry faces unprecedented geopolitical uncertainty.”
