Rising Edge Ltd, a specialist managing general agent (MGA) has announced three strategic appointments, Chris Smerald as Chief Actuary, Jessica Stephenson as General Manager, and Tatiana Davanzo as Tax Insurance Underwriter.
These appointments enhance Rising Edge’s leadership, underwriting expertise, and technical capabilities, as the firm scales its platform, expands into new lines of insurance, and invests in innovation.
A highly respected market specialist in actuarial science and data analytics, Smerald brings a long and distinguished career in the insurance industry, with extensive experience applying advanced technologies to complex reserving, pricing, claims, and delegated authority challenges.
Stephenson joins Rising Edge from the Connect Underwriting Group, adding a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership experience gained across both the MGA market and the wider global insurance sector.
As General Manager, Stephenson will play a key role in supporting Rising Edge’s continued expansion and operational development.
As Tax Insurance Underwriter, Davanzo will lead the development of this complementary line of business of tax liability insurance, further enhancing Rising Edge’s transactional risk and Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) offering.
The executive brings to her new position specialist technical expertise gained from her time with PwC and J.P. Morgan.
