RGA appoints Maurice Tulloch to its Board of Directors

Global life and health reinsurer Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) announced the appointment of Maurice Tulloch to its board of directors, effective July 1, 2026.

Tulloch brings extensive global leadership experience in the insurance sector. He most recently served as Aviva Group CEO, leading efforts to simplify the organization, strengthen commercial discipline and improve customer outcomes.

He has been with Aviva for more than 25 years, holding a number of senior leadership roles across multiple geographies and business areas, including President and CEO of Aviva Canada, Chairman of Global General Insurance, and International CEO, responsible for operations in Europe and Asia.

Tulloch currently serves on the boards of PSP Investments and Porch Group, Inc., and previously held board and industry leadership positions with Aviva plc, the Geneva Association, the Insurance Development Forum, ClimateWise and the Insurance Bureau of Canada.

“Maurice brings a forward-looking perspective on the insurance industry and extensive hands-on experience leading global operations,” said Tony Cheng, president and CEO of RGA.

“His combination of operational expertise and global insights, along with his commitment to making insurance simpler and more responsive to customers, will be extremely valuable as RGA continues to help customers navigate change and deliver meaningful protection.”

RGA Board Chairman Stephen O’Hearn added: “Maurice’s experience spans senior executive leadership, international insurance operations and service on public and private boards.

“His perspective on the complexities of governance, capital management and leadership will further strengthen the board as it continues to oversee RGA’s long-term strategy.”
