Global reinsurer Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Suzanne Revell to succeed Adam Watkins as Head of Marine and Energy at P&C Re, effective June 1, 2026.
In his new role in London, Revell will be responsible for Swiss Re’s global marine and energy portfolio, including its strategic direction, underwriting priorities and market representation, as well as leading underwriting teams across all regions.
The executive joined Swiss Re in 2017 and currently serves as head of UK marine and energy, where he leads the political violence and terror portfolio.
Revell has an extensive background, including leading a significant London market consolidated excess loss book, as well as experience as a Lloyd’s syndicated underwriter and placement broker.
This broad background gives her experience in these areas and a deep understanding of the markets and broader risk landscape.
Adam Watkins, who has been with Swiss Re for almost two decades, will continue in an advisory role with the company.
