Price Forbes names Craig McCoig-Lees as Head of Casualty MGA, Singapore

Independent specialist insurance and reinsurance brokerage Price Forbes has appointed Craig McCoig-Lees as head of Singapore Casualty Insurance MGA.

In his new role, McCoig-Lees will report directly to Bruce Ford, chief commercial officer, reinsurance and wholesale.

In addition, he will be responsible for expanding Price Forbes Re’s MGA proposition, supporting third-party MGAs with capacity, underwriting expertise and strategic growth solutions.

McCoig-Lees has over thirty years of industry experience, most recently at Howden Re where he was Director of Casualty MGA.

In the past, he has also held senior positions at Lockton International and JLT Re, and has been based in Singapore for the past 13 years.

Commenting on the appointment, Ford said: “We have identified a real opportunity in the MGA space, with global growth set to accelerate as new hubs emerge and regulations continue to evolve.

“Craig has a proven track record of building businesses and will be able to help us achieve our goal of becoming the broker of choice for MGA business in the region, and I’m delighted to welcome him to the team.”

McCoig-Lees added: “Price Forbes’ ambitions in the MGA space are clear and that’s what attracted me to this role.
