Post & Co, a specialist marine and logistics managing general agent (MGA), has received regulatory approval to begin writing business as part of Rokstone, an international specialty re/insurance MGA.
Aventum, Rokstone’s parent company, originally announced the acquisition of Post & Co – considered one of continental Europe’s most established marine underwriting businesses – back in May 2026.
Operating across four European offices in Rotterdam, Groningen, Antwerp, and Frankfurt, Post & Co’s Dutch, Belgian and German teams deliver deep technical knowledge, strong client relationships, and cultural alignment.
Backed by Lloyd’s and specialist company market capacity, the company has over 100 years of experience in transacting business, including P&I, charterers and shipowners, war risk, cargo and logistics.
The acquisition of Post & Co expands and complements Rokstone’s existing marine proposition in the UK, North America and Asia, and marks a defining milestone in its ambition to build the world’s leading independent specialist MGA.
James Potter, Chairman at Rokstone, commented: “We’re delighted to announce that Post & Co has now received regulatory approval to begin writing business as part of the Rokstone family. Led by Roderick Post, the Post & Co team will play a key role in shaping our marine proposition across continental Europe and supporting the continued growth of our global marine operations.
“Marine is one of our largest and most strategically important business lines, and together we will shape compelling solutions around real-world needs, ensuring that every policy is as sharp as the risk it protects, and that brokers and their clients always receive the responsive and personalised support this complex market demands.”
Roderick Post, CEO at Post & Co, said: “We’re excited to accelerate our ambitions and play our part in the development and expansion of Rokstone’s global marine proposition. We’ll build on our core strengths and heritage, as well as seeking strategic opportunities to expand into complementary areas and deepen relationships.
“This is a dynamic and complex market, but as part of Rokstone we have the scale, technology, and collaborative approach needed to lead it.”
