Multi-category, multi-territory managing general agent (MGA) Pen Underwriting has expanded its team of professional indemnity (PI) underwriters in Birmingham, adding Raman Nahal as senior PI underwriter and Jazz Parkash as PI underwriter, effective February 2, 2026.
The appointments are designed to strengthen Pen’s multi-disciplinary team of specialist underwriters in Birmingham, serving regional brokers and their clients across the Midlands.
Nahal has over 15 years of financial services experience, with the past ten years focusing on insurance, underwriting PI and specialty business risk. Most recently, she worked as a development underwriter within Hiscox’s Midlands team since 2018.
Parkash has an insurance brokerage background and more than twenty years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in PI risk at Lockton, Giles Insurance Brokers and Wesleyan. Prior to this, she worked as development underwriter at Tokio Marine HCC in Birmingham from 2023.
