OneAdvent, the specialist MGA incubator, has announced the appointment of Sebastian Basso as Chief Digital Officer.

In his new role, Basso will lead the company’s digital innovation strategy. He will be based in London and report to Tim Quayle, CEO of OneAdvent.

Following Basso’s appointment, OneAdvent has established a dedicated digital innovation department, with Kristian Feldborg, Chief Technology Officer, working alongside him. Together, they will bring the expertise needed to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, that are reshaping the insurance industry.

Basso brings more than a decade of experience in developing technology and product strategies at InsurTechs, AI start-ups and scale-ups.

He has expertise in using technology, data and operational design to solve complex business challenges and build scalable solutions that support better decisions and commercial outcomes.

Previously, Basso served as Director of Growth, International Partnerships at Yext, an enterprise agentic marketing platform. During his tenure, he built an automated analytics POC that evolved into a data infrastructure programme, enabling price rationalisation and data-driven GTM decisions.

Quayle said, “We got to know Sebastian when he was part of a stellar team sheet who launched a personal lines MGA on our platform, during the InsurTech wave. We’ve stayed in touch ever since and I’m really excited that he has agreed to join us to drive our own technology strategy and unlock new opportunities across the delegated authority market.”

Basso added, “I’m thrilled to be joining OneAdvent and helping shape its digital future. OneAdvent is still a relatively small and agile business in an industry full of behemoths. This gives us a huge opportunity to gain a competitive edge by harnessing technology across the business in ways that improve how we operate and make decisions. The playing field is changing quickly and I look forward to seeing where we can take the business.”
