Munich Re, one of Europe’s four largest reinsurers, has appointed Andreas Moser as global head of credit, guarantee and political risk reinsurance, effective April 1, 2026.
Moser joined Munich Re in 2004 and joined the company’s Financial Risk department in 2021, where he contributes to the development of new digital business models. Within the Financial Risks department, he served as Head of Trade Credit and Guaranteed Reinsurance for Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
Prior to that, he served as CEO of Munich Re Italia and head of non-life reinsurance for Latin America.
Moser is also co-founder of Mundi Lab, an insurtech acceleration program between Munich Re and Mundi Ventures that promotes startups to bring innovative solutions to the industry to market.
“In his new role, Andreas will lead a strong global team and build on the franchise’s strong track record to continue delivering value to customers and partners around the world,” the company said.
