European property and casualty insurance runoff group Marco Capital Holdings has completed the previously announced acquisition of Dublin-based Benteler Re from Benteler Group.
Benteler Re was established in January 2003. It is a non-life captive insurance company in the final sale stage.
Marco said the transaction has received all necessary regulatory approvals and is now fully completed.
Marco CEO Simon Minshall commented: “The acquisition of Benteler Re provides Benteler Group with an efficient way to manage its group insurance arrangements.
“Marco specializes in providing captive solutions to businesses, specifically minimizing market tail risks through investment in specialist risk and operational management. This transaction is a great example of the value-added services we provide to our clients.”
In related news, earlier this month, Marco acquired Stewart Title Europe Limited, which has been in the runoff stage since early 2025.
