Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has reorganized the leadership team of its European Fine Arts & Coins (FA&S) business line, effective May 1, 2026.
Bjoern Reusswig has been appointed European Contingency, Fine Arts & Coin and War & Terrorism Underwriting Manager.
He will report to David Saillen, chief underwriting officer for Europe, from whom he will take over additional responsibilities for Fine Art & Specie.
Reusswig’s extensive reputation, global airline background and prior FA&S experience make him ideally suited to drive underwriting excellence while accelerating profitable growth in key business areas.
Additionally, Paolo Frassetto has been appointed European Underwriting Manager for Fine Arts & Coins; he will retain his existing responsibilities as FA&S Underwriting Manager Italy.
He will remain based in Milan and report to Italy general managers Bjoern Reusswig and Antonio Sacchi.
All FA&S underwriting managers in each country, as well as European underwriting specialists, report to their respective country managers and also report to Frassetto.
Frassetto brings proven regional underwriting expertise and a clear focus on rigorous product differentiation to help drive Liberty’s products forward.
David Saillen, Chief Underwriting Officer Europe at Liberty Specialty Markets, commented: “I am delighted to announce these appointments for our European business as we continue to drive disciplined and purposeful growth in the FA&S sector in line with our Invest in Europe 2030 strategy.
“Bjoern and Paolo have been with Liberty for over 11 years and demonstrate the strength of Liberty’s talent. I am delighted to be recognized for their dedication and outstanding performance, which will only strengthen our expertise-led business.”
