Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Ettore Palma to the newly created position of Broker Relationship Manager, effective immediately.
In his new role, Palma will be based in the recently opened Rome office and will report to Simone Jurina, head of distribution in Italy.
His responsibilities include expanding Liberty’s footprint in Italy by growing the business in the central and southern regions of the country.
In addition, Palma will manage, strengthen existing relationships and establish new partnerships with brokers and intermediaries.
He has thirty years of industry experience, working with large insurance groups and international MGAs, with a particular focus on the Italian market.
Most recently, Parma worked at HECA, supporting the company’s growth in central and southern Italy.
Jurina commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Ettore to our Rome office. He is highly regarded in the industry and his extensive knowledge and experience working with insurance companies and intermediaries will be a great asset as we continue to expand our presence in Italy. This new position will enhance the quality of the service we provide to brokers and clients and will enhance demand in the local market.”
