Global insurance brokerage and risk management firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced a planned leadership transition within its executive finance team.
Kyle G. Koreyva has been appointed Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, and principal accounting officer of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co, succeeding Richard C. Cary, who is set to retire.
Cary will step down from his role, effective 30 September 2026, ahead of his retirement in 2028. The executive has served as Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s Controller since 1997 and its Chief Accounting Officer since 2001.
He will remain employed by the company as Corporate Vice President – Accounting and will support the transition through his expected retirement in 2028.
Koreyva steps into the post as part of Gallagher’s long-term succession planning, and will take over his new position on 1 October 2026.
He initially joined the organisation in August 2025 through its acquisition of AssuredPartners, where he had served as Chief Accounting Officer since June 2024 before becoming Gallagher’s Vice President of Accounting.
Prior to the acquisition, Koreyva served as AssuredPartners’ Chief Accounting Officer starting in June 2024. Before AssuredPartners, he served as Vice President, Finance and Divisional Chief Financial Officer of Westchester, a division of Chubb, from April 2020 to June 2024.
Koreyva also spent the first 14 years of his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor in its assurance practice, including three years in its national office.
