Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), the commercial insurance arm of Berkshire Hathaway, recently announced the promotion of Kim Schumacher to head of general property in Germany.
Schumacher joined BHSI in 2024 as a senior property underwriter and has nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry.
Andreas Krause, Director of BHSI DACH, commented: “Kim brings deep real estate and technology expertise to her new leadership role.
“She also shares our commitment to providing excellent insurance and service to clients and brokers, and living our ‘claims are our product’ philosophy from underwriting to claims.”
Her career has focused on complex property and technology risks. She will remain based in Hamburg.
