HSB (UK & Ireland) bolsters executive leadership team with Götz appointment

HSB (UK & Ireland), provider of specialist engineering and technical insurance and inspection services, announces the appointment of Mathilda Götz as Strategy and Value Proposition Director.

In her new role, Götz will lead HSB’s enterprise-wide strategy and proposal development, overseeing its engineering inspection, insurance and construction warranty businesses.

She will work with organizational leaders to align key strategic objectives, identify emerging opportunities and advance HSB’s long-term growth objectives through customer-centric propositions and services.

Götz brings 18 years of experience in strategy, innovation and emerging technologies to her new role, most recently at Munich Re.

During her time at the global reinsurer, she held a range of senior strategy, innovation and business development roles, responsible for risk transfer solutions in emerging technology markets, covering cyber risk, artificial intelligence, blockchain-related technologies and emerging clean technologies.

Since joining Munich Re in 2009, she spearheaded the group’s first online marketing campaign and more recently led strategy and business development activities for Munich Re’s new technology and green technology solutions divisions.

Before joining Munich Re, Getz Previously held transformational roles at BMW Group and Rodenstock GmbH.

The executive’s career also includes a previous role as strategic advisor to HSB, supporting the development of its building warranty proposition.

At HSB, Götz will report to CEO Andrew Burke, who said: “Mathilda has an outstanding combination of strategic leadership, innovation expertise and a deep understanding of emerging technologies.
