Guy Carpenter appoints Duffy and Ross to lead global property and casualty

Global reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, a Marsh business, has appointed David Duffy as Global Property Leader and Chris Ross as Global Casualty Leader, effective immediately.

Based in New York, in their newly created roles they will report to John Trace, Chief Executive Officer of North America and Chief Broking Officer, Guy Carpenter.

The pair will leverage Guy Carpenter’s best practices to deliver cutting-edge risk transfer solutions for clients in the property and casualty re/insurance market.

Duffy and Ross each have over 25 years of experience across a range of macroeconomic and re/insurance market conditions, having led some of the broker’s largest global client relationships.

Having joined the firm in 1992, Duffy was most recently the Co-President of Global Clients. Ross joined the broker in 1999 and previously led the New York-based Casualty team.

Additionally, the duo will leverage Guy Carpenter’s global data and market insights to create competitive advantages for clients, and enable them to drive growth while navigating an evolving risk landscape.
