Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has appointed Roshan Perera as managing director and regional head of Asia Pacific (APAC) and Richard Jones as chairman of Asia Pacific.
Perera has over 25 years of industry experience in the Asia Pacific region. Most recently, he led Gallagher Re’s Asia Pacific strategic solutions team. In this role, Pereira works closely with the broker’s broader leadership team to develop and implement the regional sales framework.
Jones, meanwhile, has nearly four decades of reinsurance brokerage experience, most recently as chairman of Gallagher Re for South East Asia, Taiwan and Korea.
Prior to this, Jones served as CEO of Aon Asia Reinsurance. He works closely with Perera to execute Gallagher Re’s growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region.

With these appointments, former Asia Pacific head Mark O’Brien will leave Gallagher Re to pursue new challenges outside of broking.
Meanwhile, former Asia Pacific chairman and international vice chairman Mark Morley plans to retire.
