Commercial property and casualty insurer FM has announced a significant increase in its capabilities to support its global FM Intelium customers and the data and power generation industries, delivering unparalleled underwriting limits and risk management expertise.
With nearly 200 years of engineering experience and partnerships with global enterprises, FM can now provide up to $5 billion in capacity to this rapidly growing industry. These enhanced limits are the highest currently available in data centers, allowing FM to provide exceptional support to its customers.
Launched last year, FM Intelium helps businesses leverage technology innovation while managing associated risks, from artificial intelligence and cloud computing to the energy needs to power these systems.
Christopher Dempsey was appointed senior vice president of FM Intelium in October, overseeing the division’s efforts to support existing and potential data center customers. FM has more than 25 years of experience insuring data centers and currently covers approximately 1,100 facilities with a total insured value of $250 billion.
