Everest, a global insurance and reinsurance group, has announced the promotion of Mike Reed’s to Head of Canada Treaty Reinsurance.
Reed will leverage his over 18 years of industry experience to lead Everest’s Canadian Treaty strategy, execution, and market representation.
The executive brings deep underwriting expertise and collaborative leadership to his new role, skills that will be instrumental as the firm continues to build upon a strong position in the Canada market, Everest noted.
Reed has been part of Everest for six years, having joined the company as Senior Underwriter, Facultative & MGA Lead. During his time at the company, he has also served as Senior Underwriter, Treaty, Senior Underwriter II, Treaty, and AVP, Reinsurance Underwriting, Treaty.
In April 2026, he was appointed VP, Reinsurance Underwriting, Treaty, his most recent position before his promotion.
Throughout his career Reed has also held positions at CNA Insurance, RSA Canada, and Travelers Canada.
