Iowa weather: Hail, heavy rain, strong winds possible in Saturday storms
DES MOINES, Iowa —
Thunderstorms traveled across northern Iowa, then down through the eastern part of the state Friday.
Saturday night into Sunday morning brings another chance for storms.
The main threats will be hail, gusty wind, and isolated heavy rain — if storms are able to fire up. A marginal (1 out of 5) risk for severe weather is in place on Saturday across the state.
Scattered storms are likeliest after midnight Sunday morning, then will last past daybreak Sunday before dissipating.
