Specialist re/insurance broker Consilium has announced that its Risk Solutions division is launching a dedicated UK Contractor All Risks (CAR) facility.
As part of its growing portfolio of casualty risk products, CAR Facilities offers comprehensive underwriting for annual renewable energy and stand-alone project policies. It is designed to help projects stay on schedule, minimize financial losses, and protect contractors from the various risks encountered on site.
Annual policies are available as stand-alone coverage or combined with Consilium’s liability mechanisms to create a fully integrated risk solution.
The facility serves a wide range of contractors including civil engineers, builders, allied trades, shop and office fitters, groundsmen and landscapers. A separate project policy provides protection for employers, main contractors and project managers on contracts worth up to £12 million.
Policy features include contract works, plant (owned or leased), tooling and optional extensions such as existing structures, delay in start-up (DSU) and loss of profits. Premiums start at £1,000.
