Clear Blue Insurance Group, a leading U.S. plan-focused insurance company, has appointed Miles Allkins as executive vice president (EVP) and chief risk officer.
In this role, Allkins will lead enterprise risk, pricing governance, capital modeling, actuarial efforts and analytics across multi-line property and casualty platforms.
He will focus on aligning underwriting with disciplined capital deployment, increasing regulatory and ratings agency engagement, and building analytics-driven infrastructure to support sustainable project growth.
Olkins is a seasoned actuarial and insurance executive with leadership experience in enterprise risk management, underwriting, capital strategy and reinsurance in the U.S. and international markets.
Most recently, he served as co-founder and chief risk officer of Emerald Bay Risk Solutions. Prior to that, he served as chief underwriting officer of Spinnaker Insurance Company and was co-founder and chief operating officer/chief risk officer of 3P Risk Strategies.
Earlier in his career, Allkins held senior actuarial positions at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions (formerly AIR Worldwide) and Axis Capital.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Allkins said: “From our first conversation, it was clear that Jerome Breslin and his team have built a resilient, capital-disciplined platform centered on long-term partnerships and sustainable growth. Just as important, there is a culture based on trust, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.”
“Clear Blue’s ability to combine underwriting execution with capital strategy is a real advantage. I’m excited to help further strengthen our enterprise risk, pricing and capital capabilities as we continue to diversify and grow our portfolio.”
