Brokerslink, a global broking business, has announced the expansion of its Board of Directors with three new members, following the completion of a private placement that closed on 22 June 2026.

The new capital investment broadened the company’s shareholder base. In line with Brokerslink’s shareholder-led governance, the new directors were elected at the recent general assembly.

The three new directors are Ágnes Bara, Deputy CEO at Hungary’s Hungarikum Insurance Broker; Youness Rhallam, Board Member of Alpha Assurances in Morocco; and Patrick Verlinden, CEO of Van Dessel in Belgium.

Bara brings nearly 20 years of experience spanning retail insurance, bancassurance, corporate insurance and international broking.

She joins from Hungary’s largest brokerage group, Hungarikum Biztosítási Alkusz Zrt, where she has helped drive growth while championing professional development across the insurance sector, including co-founding Hungary’s first university-level programme for insurance advisors.

Rhallam is a Board Member of Alpha Assurances, one of Morocco’s largest independent brokers and part of Akwa Group. He brings two decades of experience advising multinational and domestic organisations.

Verlinden serves as CEO of Van Dessel, the Belgian family-owned brokerage founded in 1946 and one of the country’s leading independent brokers. He has spent more than 25 years with the business, where he has overseen its international expansion across Belgium and Luxembourg.

In addition, José Manuel Fonseca was re-elected President & CEO of the Board. The enlargement of the Board was also reflected in its leadership, with Gregory Allard, CEO of Filhet-Allard in France, and Alexandra Littlejohn, EVP Senior Managing Director of Alliant Insurance Services in the US, elected as Vice Presidents.

Brokerslink said its expanded Board represents the broadening ownership of the company and brings a wider range of international market perspectives to its governance, supporting the network’s continued development across more than 140 countries.

José Manuel Fonseca said, “I want to personally thank Sunny Leons, who chose to step back from our Board after twelve years. Sunny has been a fantastic colleague and a great part of Brokerslink’s development, and I am glad that he remains part of our community. I look forward to his continued support as we take the company forward.

“It is in that same spirit that I am pleased to welcome Ágnes, Youness and Patrick, who were elected by our shareholders and who each bring genuine leadership and a strong understanding of their markets. This expansion of our Board reflects the confidence our shareholders continue to place in the network and adds to the range of perspectives around the table as we keep building our international capabilities.”
