Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced the appointment of Aditya Dongre as head of Canadian property underwriting.
In his new role, Dongre will work out of AXIS’s Toronto office and play a key role in guiding underwriting direction, working closely with brokers and colleagues to support thoughtful risk selection and sustainable portfolio growth.
He brings extensive property underwriting experience and a deep understanding of the Canadian market.
Dongre joins AXIS from AXA XL for nearly 12 years, where he held various senior positions in risk advisory and underwriting functions in Toronto and New York.
Most recently, he served as a senior underwriter for large commercial properties and previously held other roles as account manager and risk advisor.
