Assurex Global, a privately held commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage group, announced the appointment of Troy Johnson as senior vice president of global growth strategy.
The position will focus on strengthening multinational revenue streams and assisting partner companies in expanding their international presence, the company said.
Johnson joined the organization in 2023 to lead the development of the multinational business teams in North America and Europe.
The company said his new role is more focused on delivering tangible business growth, including bringing together experienced experts to build teams designed to support multinational clients.
According to Assurex Global, its partners consist of more than 100 independent companies with 730 offices on six continents and more than 30,700 professionals worldwide. Johnson’s leadership will leverage this global network to support further expansion in international markets, the company said.

Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the risk and insurance brokerage fields. Prior to joining the company, he served as regional sales director for Towergate Insurance Brokers and development director for Griffiths & Armour. Assurex Global added that his earlier career included positions at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, PruHealth and AXA Insurance.
