Global reinsurer Ariel Re has announced a number of promotions across its Bermuda and London offices, strengthening its ‘Academy Company’ approach as it continues to position itself as a place where reinsurance professionals can learn, grow and build their careers.
Ariel Re said this year’s promotions span a range of positions and departments.
Namely, within the Actuarial Department, Jack Strong was promoted to Associate Director of Capital Modeling and Will Ross was promoted to Senior Actuarial Analyst.
Within Analytics and Technology, Kristy Schwaegerl has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Infrastructure Services, and Simon Wray has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Application Services.
Meanwhile, Neil Pohlman was promoted to vice president and head of portfolio planning, Roman Sklyar was promoted to vice president and head of technology, and Brian Darling was promoted to vice president and head of portfolio management.
Valentina Putrino has also been promoted to Senior Analyst, Disaster Analysis, and Rahul Choudhry has been promoted to Senior Software Developer.
Meanwhile, within Capital and Risk, Andy Kerr has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Capital, and Alan Pittendriigh has been promoted to Vice President, PMO and Risk.
In finance and operations, Grace Sousa is promoted to senior vice president and head of operations, Neil Figido and Tiago Ferreira are promoted to reinsurance analysts, and Rhys Callely is promoted to senior associate accountant.
Finally, on the underwriting side, Giovanni Maccioni was promoted to Senior Vice President, Underwriter, Carolina Medeiros was promoted to Underwriter, and Louise Andrews and Megan Zimmerer were promoted to Assistant Underwriter.
As previously announced, Sarah Morgan has been promoted from senior vice president, real estate underwriting, to head of real estate.
