Arbol and Pollen Systems have partnered to bring to market a “first-of-its-kind” product that combines parametric insurance with multiple real-time data sources to solve long-standing challenges in agriculture and climate risk insurance.
The initiative is supported by location intelligence leaders Esri and Omniris, which provide the underlying geospatial data platform and AI-driven analytics.
The product reportedly provides a streamlined solution designed to manage climate-related agricultural risks faster, more accurately and more easily by combining satellite imagery, drone data, field observations and historical records with parametric insurance.
“This partnership enables faster and more transparent risk assessment and claims resolution by integrating Arbol’s AI parametric insurance products with Pollen Systems’ agricultural intelligence and Omniris’ geospatial data infrastructure (built on Esri’s GIS technology),” the companies explained in a joint statement.
Sid Jha, CEO of Arbol, commented: “Agricultural insurance has long been limited by static data, delayed signals and manual processes that fail to reflect the actual performance of risks in the field.
“By partnering with Pollen, we are setting a new standard for how climate risks are assessed, monitored and addressed. This partnership brings real-time, location-aware insights directly to underwriting and claims, providing farmers and insurers with faster decision-making, greater transparency and more resilient coverage.”
Keith McCall, CEO and founder of Pollen Systems and Omniris, said: “This partnership represents a fundamental shift in the way crop and climate risk insurance is designed and delivered. By combining Arbol’s parametric products with Pollen Systems’ field intelligence, we provide insurers and their customers a shared, trusted, long-term view of risk.”
“This continuity allows for faster decision-making, greater transparency and insurance products that truly reflect reality.”
