Apollo, a Skyward Group company, has appointed David Burke as head of its product recall operations, reinforcing Apollo’s continued commitment to building capabilities and investing in experienced underwriting professionals.
Burke will be responsible for developing the underwriting approach to its product recall portfolio, supporting the continued growth of the product line and helping to expand its offering into further recalls areas as well as its established automotive recall business.
He joined Apollo after ten years at Hiscox to lead the product recalls department and was appointed partner in 2021. Apollo said his experience would support the company’s ambitions to further develop its product recall capabilities and strengthen its specialist underwriting proposition.
The appointment follows continued recognition of Apollo’s position in the recalls market. Apollo says it ranks second in Gracechurch’s rankings London Leading Underwriters Report 2026, Highlighting the company’s reputation among brokers for underwriting knowledge and quality of service.
