Aon’s Livy Dai to lead Lockton China as CEO

International insurance brokerage group Lokton has appointed Livy Dai as Lokton China’s new chief executive officer (CEO), who will be based in Shanghai and report to Lokton Greater China CEO Ye Zhiqiang.

He brings nearly three decades of experience in risk management and insurance broking, along with strategic thinking, a client-centric focus and a collaborative leadership style that the broker hopes will help its China team drive growth and scale faster in “one of the largest and fastest-growing economies in the world.”

Livy’s expertise spans developing long-term business strategies, cultivating strong client relationships, driving innovative solutions and building high-performing teams. Throughout his career, Levi has worked seamlessly with regional and global stakeholders to help Chinese companies expand their international operations while ensuring risk management solutions are tailored to meet changing client needs

Most recently, he served as deputy general manager and head of key account management at re/insurance brokerage Aon, where he worked for 29 years and played a key role in developing its business in China.

In 2002, as a founding member of Aon-China Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd., Li Wei took the lead in establishing the Nanjing office and subsequently expanded the business by successfully setting up and managing other branches across the country.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Ye said: “We are delighted that Levi is joining Lockton as CEO of China to lead and support the growth of this dynamic and fast-growing economy.
