Aon plc, the professional services firm specialising in risk, retirement and health solutions, has appointed Leonora Siccardi to the newly established position of Global Chief Execution Officer (CXO) for Risk Capital and Human Capital.
The appointment takes effect immediately, with Siccardi reporting to Joe Peiser, Chief Executive Officer of Risk Capital, and Byron Beebe, Chief Executive Officer of Human Capital.
In her new role, Siccardi will be responsible for improving coordination between strategic planning, investment decisions and business delivery across Aon’s Risk Capital, Human Capital, Advisory and Analytics operations.
The company said the position will support closer cooperation between its Solution Lines, encourage the development and uptake of new capabilities, and help turn strategic objectives into consistent outcomes for clients and colleagues across its global operations.
Siccardi will work alongside Aon’s global, regional and functional leadership teams to align priorities and resources, identify opportunities for collaboration and support the delivery of the company’s wider business objectives.
Peiser commented: “Leonora is a proven leader who has spent her career turning strategy into results for clients. She understands what clients need, how our capabilities fit together and how to lead complex, multi-region change. That makes her exceptionally well positioned to sharpen how we execute as one connected firm.”
Beebe added: “Bringing Risk Capital and Human Capital more closely together creates significant opportunities for our clients. Leonora’s focus on aligning priorities, capabilities and investment will help us capture those opportunities with greater pace and scale.”
Siccardi has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, having spent most of her career with the company. She has established a track record across Reinsurance Solutions and Risk Capital, with experience in business development, client solutions and the delivery of strategic initiatives.
Alongside her new responsibilities, Siccardi will continue as Chief Claims Officer for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business and Global Head of Client Solutions, Risk Capital. In her existing global role, she leads growth initiatives involving Aon’s proprietary and cedent facilities, as well as Specialist Claims Solutions.
Siccardi is also a board member of Aon Reinsurance Italia S.p.A. Over the course of her career, she has worked with senior executives and boards on business strategy, growth planning and enterprise transformation. Aon said this experience would support her expanded responsibilities across Risk Capital and Human Capital.
Siccardi said: “The strongest strategies create value when priorities and execution are fully connected. My focus is on strengthening those connections across Risk Capital and Human Capital, turning priorities into action and delivering the best of Aon to our clients, consistently and at scale.”
