After more than 11 years at global reinsurer Munich Re, Dr. Jonas Haug will join Allianz Reinsurance as Global Head of Group Ceded Reinsurance, responsible for driving the development of the company’s reinsurance strategy in line with the group’s risk profile.
Dr. Haug will lead Allianz Re’s group ceded reinsurance team from 1 July 2026, succeeding Sang Hun Park, who has held the position since May 2023.
He brings more than 15 years of international experience in reinsurance and management consulting to Allianz Re. Dr. Haug has a proven track record of building complex reinsurance programs, leading international teams and driving strategic transformation.
Dr. Haug joined Munich Re in 2015 as Project Manager Corporate Strategy/Reinsurance Strategy and in 2019 was appointed Global Business Developer/Underwriter for European Reinsurance – CIP Property. He subsequently served as Global Head of Business Development at Munich Re F&C and in April 2023 was appointed Account Manager for the UK’s main automotive account.
During his time at Munich Re, he was responsible for one of the company’s largest global client relationships and directed the development of large single-risk businesses in London and Munich.
Prior to joining Munich Re, Dr. Haug spent seven years at the Boston Consulting Group as a project leader for a team of 5-12 consultants and client team members.
