Alex Brogden has joined InEvo Re, a Bermuda-based specialist life reinsurer backed by Macquarie Asset Management, as chief underwriting officer.

Brogden brings extensive market experience, most recently serving four years as group chief underwriting officer at Monument Re Group. He originally joined the company in 2017 as group chief financial officer.

Prior to that, the executive served as a corporate actuary for financial services company Phoenix Group, where he worked for six years.

He also worked for three years as a pricing actuary at Swiss Re Amin Re and in a similar capacity as a consultant at WTW.

Commenting on his new appointment, Brogdon said: “After a few days this is impressive and even exceeds my expectations – the team are fantastic and Macquarie as a shareholder provides a truly outstanding platform.

Adding: “I look forward to continuing to grow the business, building innovative solutions and building strong long-term partnerships with customers.”

InEvo Re officially launched operations on March 31, 2025, and completed its first transaction with a British insurance company on the same day.

Through the agreement, the company reinsured UK insurers’ pension risk transfer (PRT) liabilities, covering paid pensions and deferred pensioners.

Subsequently, in September 2025, the Bermuda-based reinsurer entered into a reinsurance agreement with a U.S.-based life insurance company covering approximately $1 billion of long-term liabilities.

Later this year, in December 2025, InEvo Re announced the successful completion of its third reinsurance transaction, with a UK life insurance company, marking a significant expansion of the company’s footprint in the highly competitive UK PRT market.
