XS Global, the independently owned managed general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Phillip Brain as regional accident and health (A&H) underwriting manager.
Brain has more than two decades of global experience in the accident and health sector, with deep expertise in leadership, underwriting and distribution.
Prior to joining XS Global, he was Head of Asia Accident and Health at Arma Underwriting Ltd. He has also held senior A&H positions at Everest, AIG, QBE Asia, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and Chubb.
XS Global said in a recent LinkedIn post: “Throughout his career, he has successfully transformed the A&H business in EMEA, Asia Pacific, building high-performing teams, growing market share and delivering a sustainable, profitable underwriting portfolio.
“He is widely recognized for his ability to balance strong technical underwriting discipline with a client-first mentality, delivering innovative solutions that are both financially sound and responsive to the evolving needs of businesses and individuals, from large treaty opportunities to micro-insurance solutions.”
Previously, XS Global recently established XS Global Asia Pacific Ltd (XSGAP) in Hong Kong to expand into the Asia-Pacific region.
