Willis, a WTW company, has announced that it will return to the light leisure general aviation market after a 30-year absence.
The expansion is made possible by the arrival of the Crispin Speers team, a specialist Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker based in London.
The company said their proven expertise and structured solutions have enabled Willis to expand its insurance product range for the first time.
Willis now offers a comprehensive range of comprehensive insurance solutions tailored specifically for light and leisure general aviation operations.
This includes ultralight aircraft, balloons, gliders, commercial drones and light fixed-wing aircraft.
In addition, by leveraging the expertise of its extensive network, Willis is now also able to provide commercial insurance solutions for non-aviation risk exposures.
The arrival of the Crispin Speers team introduces a proven turnkey service, based on technology that can handle large volumes of business quickly and efficiently.
John Rooley, global head of aviation and aerospace at Willis, said: “Our re-entry into the light and leisure general aviation segment fills a long-standing gap in Willis’ product portfolio, allowing us to offer the AZ suite of insurance solutions. Customers can now benefit from a seamless, one-stop approach to all their aviation insurance needs, backed by Willis’ global reach and trusted reputation.”
“This expansion demonstrates Willis’ unwavering commitment to customers, partners and industry stakeholders. By expanding our capabilities and embracing innovation, we are confident in our ability to deliver market-leading insurance solutions and drive positive change across the aviation industry and beyond.”
