Willis Re, the WTW-owned re/insurance advisory and brokerage firm, has announced the appointment of Rikki Hornett to its team, who brings more than 40 years of industry experience, including more than 25 years in the Bermuda market.
During his time on the island, Honnett played a key role in launching a number of new re/insurance businesses, notably leading the initial formation of Prentis Donegan & Partners in Bermuda, which was later acquired by Price Forbes.
Prior to joining Willis Re, Hornett spent 20 years with reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, focusing on structuring reinsurance and retrocession programs.
His expertise includes catastrophe analysis of traditional catastrophe bonds and industry loss guaranteed transactions, as well as designing products to scale solutions for clients. Honnett is recognized for his technical expertise, client-oriented approach and ability to cultivate lasting professional relationships.
