The executive has developed an in-depth understanding of the London reinsurance and retrocession markets working with clients in London, Europe, the United States and Bermuda. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the evolution of specialty programs and how clients can effectively manage the volatility of their portfolios.
Willis Re board member Lucy Clarke said: “Freddie is a perfect fit for the business we are building. His professional insight and client-focused approach support our ambition to deliver high-quality advice and grow purposefully in key areas of the market.”

In 2012, she moved to a wording and customer support position, which allowed her to gain expertise in coverage analysis and contract documentation.
Since then, the executive has gained experience in international brokerage (particularly LMX) as well as global client service, managing major accounts in multiple geographies.
She has proven strengths in client management, leading RFP and project initiatives, and supporting complex layouts across diverse markets.
“Nicola combines technical precision with true leadership and collaborative thinking. She enhances our ability to serve our clients while also shaping the next generation of talent at Willis Re,” said Clark.

His expertise started in the marine sector and now covers numerous specialist categories such as parametrics, renewable energy and commodity price protection. In addition, he was instrumental in the creation of multiple Lloyd’s syndicates, focusing on a range of emerging and growing product lines.
Hitchings most recently served as Head of Global Professional MGA for Guy Carpenter, where he worked for seven years.
